Foreign Delegations Visiting the Khao Hin Sorn Royal Development Study Centre and Adjacent Area in Chachoengsao Province

        In November 2018, the Office of the Royal Development Projects Board (ORDPB) and the Khao Hin Sorn Royal Development Study Centre (RDSC) received two foreign delegations at the Khao Hin Sorn RDSC and adjacent area in Chachoengsao Province. The groups were welcomed by Mr. Anuwat Phothinam, Director of the Khao Hin Sorn RDSC, and the officials of the centre and ORDPB as follows:

      On 20 November 2018, 25 Bangladesh Senior Government Officials came to visit and listened to the briefing on the Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy and the New Theory Farming. The group visited various development activities of the centre. Besides, the group visited Baan Win Sufficiency Economy Learning Centre on Integrated Farming in Phanom Sarakham District, Chachoengsao Province, to learn about the application of Sufficiency Economy Philosophy.

        On 28 November 2018, 18 representatives from the Republic of Fiji and Solomon Islands visited the centre as part of the Development Project based on the application of the Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy between Thailand – Fiji and Solomon Islands. The group listened to the briefing on “The Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy and the Royal Development Study Centres” from Miss Thantitta Nakornthap, Director of Foreign Affairs Group. Then, the group visited the New Theory Farming plot to learn how to apply the Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy on their own land. Besides, the group visited Matthayom Phraratchathan Nayao School in Sanam Chai Khet District, Chachoengsao Province to observe the Agriculture for School Lunch Project which has bestowed by Her Royal Highness Maha Chakri Sirindhorn in order to combat with the malnutrition among students.

       Both of the delegations were highly interested in all activities and posed several questions for further information namely the establishment, the operation and development works in RDSCs.
