Members of Diplomatic Corps in Thailand and Spouses
Visited the Royal Development Projects (Fiscal Year 2023)

               On 30 March 2033, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the Office of the Royal Development Projects Board (ORDPB), represented by Division of Project Coordination Area 4 and Division of Special Affairs and Foreign Affairs, led the members of diplomatic corps in Thailand and spouses to visit the Royal Development Projects (Fiscal Year 2023) at the Royal-initiated Thung Thale Forest Rehabilitation and Conservation Project and the Thung Thale Crab Species Development and Conservation Centre in Krabi province. This project attracted the interest of 50 members of diplomatic corps and spouses from 28 countries to attend the study visit to the Royal Development Projects. The primary objective of the project was to enable the members of diplomatic corps to witness Thailand's potential and successes in sustainable and environmentally friendly development according to the Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy. The visit to the Royal Development Projects also orchestrate the benevolence of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great and Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, while disseminating the knowledge and understanding on running the Alternative Development project. Apart from that, this is a very good opportunity for Krabi Province to showcase its potential in economy, trade, investment, and tourism to the diplomatic corps while strengthening the relationship between the Thai government and diplomatic corps in Thailand.

               During the visit, the delegates were participated in various activities including being briefed with the overview of the Royal Development Projects, the Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy, and the overview of the Royal-initiated Thung Thale Forest Rehabilitation and Conservation Project by Mrs. Kamolinee Suksriwong, Advisor on Royal Development Project Coordination, the office of RDPB; observing crab breeding activities by the Thung Thale Crab Species Development and Conservation Centre; shopping the OTOP products exhibition, and  releasing mud crab babies at the beach in front of the Royal-initiated Thung Thale Forest Rehabilitation and Conservation Project. Finally, the group took a group photo altogether in front of the project.

               The project was deemed a success, as the diplomatic corps were acknowledged with the Royal Development Projects in Krabi province while the royal activities of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great and Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother are witnessed through the eyes of the foreigners.
