The Office of RDPB Organized the English Training Course
On “Being a Tour Guide at the Royal Development Study Centres”
For the Officers of the Royal Development Projects
At the Puparn Royal Development Study Centre in Fiscal Year 2023

          The Office of the Royal Development Projects Board (ORDPB) organized the English Training Course on “Being a tour guide at the Royal Development Study Centres” for the officers of the Royal Development Projects and the ORDPB at the Puparn Royal Development Study Centre between 28 - 31 of March 2023. There were 20 participants from the Royal Development Study Centres and a Branch Centre. The course was operated by an experienced instructor from Andrew Biggs Academy, an institution under the supervision of the Ministry of Education.

          The primary objective of this training course was to enhance the English proficiency of the participants to perform their duties as the tour guides of the Centres effectively. During the training, the participants were equipped with skills in greeting and welcoming various visitors, including formal protocols for receiving different delegates of visitors. Additionally, the participants were given opportunities to practice giving a briefing at the study visit sites located within the Puparn Royal Development Study Centre, as well as to revise their skills in responding to common inquiries of the visitors. The textbook used in this training program was customized specifically for the officers of the Royal Development Projects and the ORDPB with the information provided by Foreign Affairs Group, Division of Special Affairs and Foreign Affairs to ensure that the contents were relevant and practical for the participants in their actual work environment.
