Executives and Staff from the Republic of India Visiting the Royal-initiated Khlong Lad Pho Floodgates Project in Samut Prakan Province

On Wednesday, 15 November 2023 at 09:00 a.m., Dr. Royboon Rassamethes, Director of the Hydro-Informatics Institute, led delegates including executives and staff from the Flood and River Erosion Management Agency of Assam (FREMAA), Water Resource Department of Assam (WRD), Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) from the Republic of India, representatives from the World Bank, and officials from the Hydro-Informatics Institute to visit the Royal-initiated Khlong Lad Pho Floodgates Project in Samut Prakan Province. The delegates were welcomed by Mr. Watchara Hassapak, Executive Director of the Division of Project Coordination Area 1, Ms. Thantitta Nakornthap, Director of Foreign Affairs Group,
Ms.
Kanchana Kumnerdpun, Director of Project Coordination Group 11, along with officials from the ORDPB and representatives from the Royal Irrigation Department.

During the visit, the delegates listened to the presentation on "Water Resources Management According to the Royal Initiatives", presented by the Director of Foreign Affairs Group, covering the origins of Royal Development Projects, the roles of the ORDPB, and an overview of water management according to royal initiatives. Subsequently, representatives from the Royal Irrigation Department led the delegates to inspect the floodgates and the operation of the Royal-initiated Khlong Lad Pho Floodgate Project.
