Pay a Courtesy Call on Deputy Secretary-General of the Royal Development Projects Board

On Friday 1 July 2022 between 13.00 – 15.00 hrs., at Room 202, the Office of the Royal Development Project Board. The researchers from the Social Research Institute of Chulalongkorn University led by Prof. Dr. Suched Likitlersuang and Asst. Prof. Dr. Unruan Leknoi, together with their working team, who are conducting the research on the use of Vetiver to lessen the disaster from landslide in the North of Thailand, pay a courtesy call on Mr. Pawat Navamaratna, Deputy Secretary-General of the Royal Development Projects Board; Mrs. Suwanna Phasiri, Sub-committee on Academic, Monitoring and Evaluation of the Promotion and Utilization of Vetiver Grass Project (Via online streaming), the Executive Director of Monitoring and Evaluation Division, the Director of Foreign Affairs Group, and the officers from the ORDPB.

On this occasion, the researchers presented to the ORDPB the aforementioned project of which its major goal is to analyze the process of social innovation in using Vetiver for landslide prevention as well as to share the experiences during the field trip of the research while expressing the linkage of using Vetiver to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Before leaving, the researchers from the Social Research Institute of Chulalongkorn University also inquired about the future plan and the direction of promoting and utilizing the vetiver according to the royal initiatives as well as the direction and the progress of the 7th

Master Plan on the Promotion and Utilization of vetiver (B.E. 2566-2570).
